Like love, art is the refuge of many Cubans (and who does not ensure that love is not the greatest of artistic expression?). Luck, or misfortune, the Cubans have played with the "Don" to love and to create despite any difficulty imaginable.
Since childhood, Jorge Lázaro Pérez Fraga have had leanings towards the arts in general, taking as his personal passion of plastic, but still, never admitted to any school of art, what has remained self-taught from then.
He grew up in the warm Havana from Cuban rum, snuff and African Orishas. He graduated in Accounting, 1991 in the technological "Playa Giron" and after passing the compulsory military service from 1992 to 1997, is dedicated to painting as a profession for themselves.

1999 is a pivotal year in history of art, is when he meets one of the most prestigious contemporary Cuban landscape (Joel Ferrer) and works as a helper for him, learning his techniques and style. Also this year, in the Buenavista neighborhood, known Papucho a group of young students of German cinema, which led by Carsten Möller, Lázaro Pérez in the company of other independent artists working in the restoration of the old Buena Vista Social Club for the purpose making a film that would show the neighborhood's history and the link of the Society of black origin, with the famous CD with the participation of singers such as Compay Segundo, Ibrahim Ferrer and others.
Currently "Papucho 'live in Bremen (northern Germany), has exhibited multiple showing so far in his own style, Caribbean colors with a subtle movement of her landscapes, never fails to remind his island home.
